Application of Science and Technology in combating counterfeit goods
In the context of international integration, the production and trade of counterfeit and substandard goods continue to grow increasingly complex, causing serious harm to consumer rights, the business environment, and the reputation of legitimate enterprises. Therefore, combating counterfeit products remains an urgent task for law enforcement agencies.
Recently in Hanoi, the Institute of Criminal Science and the National Barcode and QR Code Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in combating counterfeit goods and commercial fraud, as well as enhancing nationwide product management and traceability. This collaboration will help improve product transparency in the market, support legitimate businesses, and bolster the supervisory effectiveness of competent authorities.
